  On New Year’s Eve alcohol may be sold from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, 00.00 hours (midnight) on 31st December)

   

  Credit Sales

  Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal

   

  NO Children’s Certificate

  No person under fourteen shall be in the bar of the licensed premises during the permitted hours unless one of the following applies:

  a)              He is the child of the holder of the premises licence.

  b)              He resides in the premises, but is not employed there.

  c)              He is in the bar solely for the purpose of passing to or from some part of the premises that is not a bar and to or from some part of the premises where there is no other convenient means of access or egress.

  d)              The bar is in railway refreshment rooms or other premises constructed, fitted and intended to be used bona fide for any purpose to which holding of the licence is ancillary.

  In this condition “bar” includes any place exclusively or mainly used for the consumption of intoxicating liquor.  However, an area is not a bar when it is usual for it to be, and it is, set apart for the service of table meals and alcohol is only sold or supplied to persons as an ancillary to their table meals.

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

  (1)              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  (2)              The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence

  All individuals who carry out security activities must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)

           regulated entertainment will be permitted until 01.00 hours the following day the sale/supply of alcohol will be permitted until 02.00 hours the following day and the premises may remain open until 02.30 hours the following day

  On New Year’s Eve regulated entertainment and the sale/supply of alcohol will be permitted until 02.00 hours the following day and the premises may be open to the public from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day

• Offered Condition

   

  1        At times when the designated premises supervisor is away from the premises on holiday or anticipates being away for an extended period of time then another personal licence holder shall be nominated in writing by the designated premises supervisor to be responsible for the premises in their absence. However in the event that no other personal licence holder is available then a non-personal licence holder shall be nominated in writing by the designated premises supervisor to be responsible for the premises in their absence provided that the nominated person has been made available for interview by the police licensing unit in respect of such a position and the police do not object to the proposal

  2        Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18.  The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)

  3        The provision of off-sales to terminate at 23:00 hours

  4        All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency

  5        There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public, (or member and their guests) notices requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly

  6        Door supervisors and other members of staff to request customers to leave quietly and have respect for their residential neighbours

  7        Any outside area which is used for the consumption of alcohol shall cease to be so used at 23.00 hours

  8.   Any section 34 Gaming Machines at the premises are to be positioned within sight of the bar servery in order that full supervision can be given as to those playing on such. There will be no other adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children

   

  Operating Schedule

   

  General - all four licensing objectives

   

  The prevention of crime and disorder

           All members of the management will be trained in all relation to all of the Licensing Objectives so as to prevent crime, disorder, public nuisance and promote public safety and the protection of children from harm.

           Any advise of the Police Crime Prevention Officer will be complied with.

           A maximum capacity of 160 be applicable to the lounge only.

           All members of staff concerned with sales of alcohol will be trained in relation to sales of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years.

           A Zero Tolerance Drugs Policy is in place.

           Pre-opening safety checks will be carried out at the premises before each trading session.

   

  Public safety

           A maximum capacity of 160 to be applicable to the lounge only.

           Maintaining emergency exits and emergency escape routes to ensure that these can be used at all times.

           Disabled Customer Emergency Evacuation Procedure in place.

           Pre-opening safety checks of the premises.

           A qualified First Aider or Appointed Person will be on duty at all times the premises are open to the public.

           Annual testing and inspection of the Gas Installation at the premises by a qualified engineer.

           Annual testing of the Electrical Installation at the premises by a qualified engineer.

           Annual testing and inspection of the Emergency Lighting at the premises by a qualified engineer.

           Annual testing and inspection of the Fire Alarm at the premises by a qualified engineer.

           All escape routes and exits maintained so as not to cause hindrance in the event of evacuation.

   

  The prevention of public nuisance

           Signage outside the premises advising customers that any who cause a disturbance will not be allowed admission.

           A ‘wind down period’ will occur for 30 minutes prior to closing when quieter music is played.

           Doors and windows to be kept closed when entertainment is in progress.

           Signs posted at the exits reminding customers to leave quietly and with respect for local residents.

           DJ / public announcement to be made at the end of the evening asking customers to leave quietly.

           Persons who persistently cause a disturbance outside the premises either before or after entry to be banned from the premises and in accordance with the management practices and Admissions Policy.

           Amplified music is turned off in the Beer Garden / external areas of the premises at 10p.m. each day

           The management will ensure that the grounds of the premises will be kept tidy and without nuisance to other neighbouring businesses or residents.

   

  The protection of children from harm

           Children under the age of 16 years not allowed into the vault after 6p.m. and the lounge after 8p.m. each day.

           All members of staff concerned with sales of alcohol will be trained in relation to sales of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years.

           Any S.34 gaming machines at the premises are positioned within sight of the bar servery in order that full supervision can be given as to those playing on such.

   

   

   

• Conditions attached after a hearing by the Licensing Authority

   

  1        A personal licence holder shall normally be on the premises at all times after 20.00 hours during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers, except in the case of an emergency

  2.   Whenever the designated premises supervisor is not at the premises another personal licence holder will be nominated by the designated premises supervisor as being the responsible person to manage the premises and will have the contact details of the designated premises supervisor.
