  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

  All individuals who carry out security activities must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)

   

  Mandatory condition where the licence permits the performance of Films

  Where a programme includes a film in the 12A, 15 or 18 category, as classified by the British board of Film Classification, no person appearing to be under the age of 12 (and unaccompanied in that case),15 or 18 as appropriate shall be admitted to any part of the programme; and the licence holder shall display in a conspicuous position a notice in the following terms-

  PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF [INSERT APPROPRIATE AGE] CANNOT BE ADMITTED TO ANY PART OF THE PROGRAMME

  Where films of different categories form part of the same programme, the notice shall refer to the oldest age restriction.

  This condition does not apply to members of staff under the relevant age while on duty provided the prior written consent of the person’s parents or legal guardian has first been obtained.

  Immediately before each exhibition of a film passed by the British Board of Film Classification there shall be exhibited on screen for at least five seconds a in such a manner that it can be easily read by all persons in the auditorium a reproduction of the certificate of the Board or, as regards a trailer advertising a film, of the statement approved by the Board indicating the category of the film

  1        Emergency lighting, fire alarm systems and electrical installations should be inspected and certified as being in a safe and suitable condition by a competent person on a regular basis as determined by your contractor or other competent person. The certificates should be available for inspection by an Authorised Officer of the Council, Police Officer or Fire Officer at any reasonable time

  2        Prior to the premises opening, for the purpose of the licence, to the public an inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the premises are safe for use. The results of the inspection shall be entered in to a log book including details of any remedial action taken. The log shall be available for inspection by an Authorised Officer of the Council, Police Officer or Fire Officer at any reasonable time

  3        The nosings of all steps on the means of escape should be highlighted in a contrasting colour by painting or other durable means

  4         The emergency lighting system shall be switched on and in good order whenever there are public on the premises.

  5.   There will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children

  Ensure that events are fully staffed and controlled.

  Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are in place and implemented and risk assessments in place.

  Adhere to the College's security policy.

  Ensure appropriate insurance in place.

   

  b) The prevention of crime and disorder

   

  All events will be properly staffed and controlled.

   

  c) Public safety

   

  Ensure numbers do not exceed maximum (600 capacity based on size and number of doors).

  d) The prevention of public nuisance

   

  In order to prevent disturbance from loud music, no windows or doors will be left open after 10pm.

  Care will be taken to ensure that people exit the premises quietly.

   

  e) The protection of children from harm

   

  All staff supervising events organised by the College where children will be present have been CRB checked and approved.

  At events where alcohol is sold, procedures will be put in place to ensure that alcohol is not sold to minors - notices will be erected and ID will be requested.
