Offered Conditions
The designated premises supervisor or the personal licence holder who is supervising the sale or supply of alcohol at that time shall not permit customers to congregate and consume alcohol sold or supplied by that premises in a public place within the immediate vicinity of the premises to the annoyance or obstruction of others.
A minimum number of 1 member of doorstaff registered with the SIA will be on duty from 10pm till closing time every Friday and Saturday nights.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 25 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:- photo driving licence; passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme).
All staff engaged or to be engaged in the sale of alcohol on the premises shall receive the following training in age restricted sales: induction training which must be completed and documented prior to the sale of alcohol by the staff member; written refresher/reinforcement training at intervals of no more than 6 months. Training records will be available for inspection by a police officer on request.
All cashiers shall be trained to record refusals of sales of alcohol in a refusals register. The register will contain: details of the time and date the refusal was made; the name of the staff member refusing the sale; details of the alcohol the person attempted to purchase. This register will be available for inspection by a police officer on request.
All cashiers shall be instructed to record in an incident book/register: all incidents of crime and disorder occurring at the premises; details off occasions when the police are called to the premises. This book/register will be available for inspection by a police officer on request.
All sales tills shall prompt the cashier making a sale of alcohol to verify that the customer is aged 18 or over
A personal licence holder shall be on the premises at all times during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers, except in the case of an emergency
Whenever the designated premises supervisor is not at the premises another personal licence holder will be nominated by the designated premises supervisor as being the responsible person to manage the premises and will have the contact details of the designated premises supervisor. The details of such person to be on prominent display outside the premises.
Alcohol within the store will be tightly controlled, in order to limit any chance of underage contact and also to reduce the possibility of theft
In order to discourage the buying for younger ones habit, cigarette sales are only available to young persons aged 18 years and over, creating a more thoroughly controlled system for the sale of restricted good, no ID no sale
24 hour CCTV operates within and outside the store.
This is held for a period of 28 days during which time it can be easily downloaded for use by the company or any relevant authority. This can also be viewed remotely and should it be felt that assistance may be required the staff can easily make contact.
Should any member of staff feel that public safety is being affected, they have the right and the ability to immediately close the store.
We have had no experience of problems with our pub or club users, but should this become a problem - especially in the summer, we will consider restricting the opening hours of the store.
We actively encourage children into the store with a good range of children’s sweets and because of this staff are trained to monitor and refuse sales of age restricted items if they have reason to believe the product is for someone other than the purchaser.
