Offered Conditions
Operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
We are a café/restaurant. Our business is food led. Any alcoholic drinks will only be served with a meal. All drinks orders will be taken at the dining tables and no drinks will be served at the counter. Our premises are small and we live above them. Our small team is all trained in the licensing regulations and understand their responsibilities. We will ensure close links with the village’s other licensed premises to ensure knowledge of any alcohol related issues.
The prevention of crime and disorder
Our premises have secure locks on all doors and windows and an alarm system. All stock is stored in secure areas. We have no AWPs or other machines that may attract crime. Our only cash till is behind our food counter and is emptied at the close of every session and left open to show no monies remain.
No drinks will be served to anybody who appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Public safety
We comply with the fire and food regulations. Our reputation depends on good standards of health and hygiene. We operate an opening and closing checklist used daily with any issues highlighted and actioned. Our premises do not allow for disabled facilities given the structural constraints. However our team is made aware of the need to provide additional assistance to anybody with a disability.
The prevention of public nuisance
We do not have live music or entertainment. The recorded music we use is appropriate to, and at a volume consistent with diners. Our small external area is not used 11pm. We will not be providing alcohol drinks to takeaway.
The protection of children from harm
All drinks served will be ancillary to a meal. Orders will only be taken from adults. The nature of our business will not encourage “under age” drinkers. The team is trained to identify and challenge. We will use the “challenge 21 scheme” if necessary.
