Offered Conditions
Other than the potential to show films, plays or performances censored to over 18 patrons from which under 18’s will be excluded as part of the University policy on the key licensing objectives there will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
To allow recorded music, performance of dance, provision of facilities for making music and dance and the provision of late night refreshment to be provided until 3.00am for one event a year within the month of June for the annual student graduation event within the area indicated on the plan.
For the annual student graduation event there will be a minimum of one security person per 100 customers and security personnel will be provided for at least 30 minutes after the event.
Operating schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
All premises licences will be held by the University Governing Body as a single licensee. The governing body recognises its responsibilities and obligations under the Licensing Act 2003. The Governing Body will implement policies relating to operating premises controlled by the University to meet the four key objectives of the Licensing Act 2003. Please see attached policy statement to meet the four licensing objectives.
The prevention of crime and disorder
A personal licence holder will be present at all times when alcohol is on sale, except in case of emergency and will be identified via an appropriate notice within the licensed premises.
Public safety
Regular fire safety inspections and drills are carried out.
Plastic glasses are used for external events.
SIA registered doorstaff are used for larger events with log of contractors and hours worked are held by the DPS.
The prevention of public nuisance
Student ID cards are issued
Licensed bars clearly display 'leave quietly notices'.
Incident logs are kept for recording events.
Dispersal - there will be 20 minutes from the last sale of alcohol for customers to exit the premises.
