Operating schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
Operate at all times according to the law to encourage the safe enjoyment of plays, films and other activities.
A personal licence holder shall normally be on the premises at all times during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers, except in the case of an emergency
The prevention of crime and disorder
Ensure that all staff receive training which ensures that activities are organised in an orderly manner.
Public safety
Ensure that risk assessments are undertaken and that staff receive the appropriate training. Health & Safety checks, policies and procedures are monitored by the Health & Safety Committee which meets every six months. The minutes of these meetings are reported to the Board of the Dukes Playhouse Ltd.
The premises capacity will not exceed 200
The prevention of public nuisance
Ensure that noise from music and customers leaving the premises are not too loud to disturb the peace of residents living in the vicinity.
The protection of children from harm
All staff working with children and young people and in positions of authority will have undertaken enhanced CRB checks either as employees of the Dukes Playhouse ltd or of Lancashire County Council's Youth and Community Service.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)
Other than plays there will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children.
Any nudity in plays or similar entertainment will be in consultation with the licensing authorities.
