Operating Schedule
a) General - all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e)
Make staff aware of the policies included within the operating schedule.
Nominated D.P.S. to be responsible for the day to day running. Ensure all four objectives are met.
Admission to premises restricted to residents within the retirement village, family members and members of the Leisure Club.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 25 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:- UK photo driving licence, passport, PASS card (proof of age standards scheme).
All staff will successfully complete training in relation to underage sales prior to commencing employment, refresher training will also be successfully completed not more than every 3 months, this will be fully documented and be available for inspection to police or other authorised persons.
A till prompt system for alcohol sales will be installed at the premises and will be used during all transactions.
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
Facilities are restricted principally to those aged 55 years and over.
CCTV installed.
Due diligence to be practised at all times. Gated community with one security guard on duty from 20:00 - 08:00 x 7 days. Implement a management strategy to prevent and control violence and ensure staff are trained on how to implement this strategy.
c) Public safety
Full risk assessment by relevant person to be carried out.
Fire safety compliance.
External lighting (especially in car park).
Staff training.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
Gated community with on site security.
No smoking signs to be displayed around the building, including toilets. Signs must be prominently displayed and protected to prevent tampering.
e) The protection of children from harm
General admission of children to be restricted to certain times.
All children under the age of 18 to be accompanied.
Displaying signs at the point of sale of stating offence to purchase alcohol under the age of 18.
Proof of age scheme (e.g) passport.
