Offered Conditions
1 A personal licence holder shall be on the premises at all times during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers, except in the case of an emergency
2 Whenever the designated premises supervisor is not at the premises another personal licence holder will be nominated by the designated premises supervisor as being the responsible person to manage the premises and will have the contact details of the designated premises supervisor. The details of such person to be on prominent display outside the premises
3 A risk assessment will be carried out by a suitably qualified person on behalf of the holder of the premises licence relevant to crime and disorder, public safety, capacity and public nuisance and a copy of which shall be forwarded to the police. For a temporary event notice the assessment should be limited to crime and disorder issues and a copy forwarded to the police
4 Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)
5 A minimum number of 1 member of door staff registered with the SIA will be on duty from 23.00 hours until 07.00 hours the following day.
Operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
All members of staff have initial in-house training in respect of Asda procedures which includes liquor licensing. All check-out operators and their team trainers have additional training in the sale of alcohol.
The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises already have in place internal and external CCTV cameras. The cameras will be maintained in working order and footage will be retained for a period of time to the satisfaction of the Police.
Proof of age will be required from any person appearing to be under the age of 18 who is attempting to purchase alcohol at the premises. If the appropriate proof is not produced there will be no sale.
Public safety
Asda seeks to comply with the requirements of health and safety legislation. No additional steps are proposed.
The prevention of public nuisance
CCTV coverage to external areas and car park is designed to deter anti-social behaviour.
The protection of children from harm
All stores have a till prompt system for age restricted products. Proof of age will be required from any person appearing to be under the age of 18 who is attempting to purchase alcohol at the premises. If the appropriate proof is not produced there will be no sale.
