Offered Conditions
All staff involved in the sale of alcohol must hold a personal alcohol licence.
All sales of alcohol must be undertaken by a personal alcohol licence holder.
There will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
The licence holder will ensure that all staff will successfully complete written training in sales of age related products. Refresher training will also be successfully completed not more than every three months, this will be fully documented including dates of training and be available for inspection to police officers or other authorised persons.
A system of electronic till prompts for all age restricted products will be installed and maintained at the premise and will be used during all transactions. The till prompt will specifically prompt staff to use the 'Challenge 25' policy.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 25 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme). No ID No sale.
The licence holder will ensure that the Challenge 25 policy is continually and clearly displaced by means of signage at the entrance and exit to the premise and also at the point of sale and also at the point of alcohol display.
The licence holder and all members of staff will take all reasonable steps to ensure that adults do not purchase alcohol for persons under the age of 18 yrs and will record any challenge in the challenge and refusal book.
All staff will utilise and fully update a refusals and challenge book which will be kept at the point of sale within the premise. The refusals book will be used to record all age restricted products refusals and must record time, date, description of customer, description of product refused and the reason why the refusal was made. All staff will also record any 'challenge' to a customer on age restricted products, including time, date and reason and the outcome of the challenge (sale or no sale). The licence holder will check and sign this refusal and challenge book on a weekly basis. The refusal and challenge book will be made available to any Police Officer, Community Support Officer or authorised person on request.
A CCTV system will be installed and comprise of at least a camera inside the premise covering the point of sale area. This footage must continually record during all open hours and be available to the Police upon request without delay.
