Offered Conditions
1. A personal licence holder shall normally be on the premises at all times after 20.00 hours during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers except in the case of an emergency
2. Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: - UK photo driving licence Passport PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)
3. Any outside area which is used for the consumption of alcohol shall cease to be so used at 23.20 hours
4. Off sales shall cease at 23.00 hours.
5. The DPS or a person nominated by them shall be a member of and regularly attend meetings of any Pubwatch scheme for the area within which the premises are located and would include registration and use of community/network radio
6. Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the premises are safe for use. Details of the inspection, defects discovered and remedial action taken shall be recorded in writing in a logbook kept for that purpose. That logbook shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable.
7. Where a door(s) on an escape route opens against the direction of travel, it shall be locked in the open position by a tamper-proof fastening when ever there are public on the premises and there shall be a clearly visible notice in capital letters which contains the words: "THIS DOOR SHALL BE KEPT LOCKED IN THE OPEN POSITION WHEN THE PREMISES ARE OCCUPIED" displayed next to the door(s)
8. The fire alarm, emergency lighting system and electrical installation shall be tested on a regular basis, at a frequency determined by a competent person. Certificates should be issued showing the results of the tests. The certificates shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable.
9. Live music shall consist of amplified and/or unamplified live music performed by no more than 2 entertainers
10. Other than 2 AWP machines and 1 cigarette machine there will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
Operating Schedule
a) General - all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e) (please read guidance note 15)
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed.
30 minute “drinking up” time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances. AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
Illumination is provided to the exterior of the building.
The toilets are checked on a regular basis.
Staff and licensee monitor customer behaviour especially at busy periods.
Burglar alarm in place.
Range of soft drinks available for drivers.
Drug prevention measures are in place.
c) Public safety
The pub is equipped with emergency lighting, illuminated exit signs and a fire detection system throughout.
Fire fighting equipment is serviced on an annual basis.
Mechanical extraction system throughout the building.
Designated no smoking area.
The pub promotes a licensed taxi service.
First aid facilities are available for staff and customers.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
When required staff organise taxis to transport customers home.
Customers are seen off the premises and encouraged to disperse at closing.
Being a detached property, noise transfer to neighbours is minimal.
Lobbied entrance reduces noise emission.
The pub is gradually phasing out standard glasses and replacing them with toughened.
e) The protection of children from harm
No unaccompanied children allowed on the premises.
All children to be off the premises by 8pm.
The outside drinking area/beer garden to the rear is completely enclosed and accessed through the lounge bar.
The pub has suitable soft drinks to promote a family atmosphere.
The AWPs and cigarette machine are visible from the bar serving area.
