Offered Conditions
1. Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)
2. Any outside area, which is used for the consumption of alcohol, shall cease to be so used at 23.20 hours
3. The provision of off-sales to terminate at 23.00 hours
4. Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the premises are safe for use. Details of the inspection, defects discovered and remedial action taken shall be recorded in writing in a logbook kept for that purpose. That logbook shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable
5. At all times when the premises are used for the purpose of the premises licence, the licence holder, manager or designated premises supervisor who is responsible for the management of the premises shall at all times be aware of the number of persons on the premises and shall if requested to do so give that information to an authorised person
6. Where a door(s) on an escape route opens against the direction of travel, it shall be locked in the open position by a tamper-proof fastening when ever there are public on the premises
7. The fire alarm, emergency lighting system and electrical installation shall be tested on a regular basis, at a frequency determined by a competent person. Certificates should be issued showing the results of the tests. The certificates shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable
8. The provision of facilities for dancing is limited to the wooden floored area in the pool room
9. Persons aged under 18 years of age will be excluded from the premises on occasions which the management deem appropriate and subject to the activities taking place. Otherwise there will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
Operating Schedule
a) General ~ all four licensing objectives (b, c, d, e) (please read guidance note 9)
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
• All members of the management will be trained in relation to all the Licensing Objectives so as to prevent crime disorder, public nuisance and promote public safety and the protection of children from harm.
• A PASS accredited ID scheme is in place.
• Any advice of the Police Crime Prevention Officer will be complied with.
• Not having any irresponsible drinks promotions which may encourage binge drinking.
• All members of staff concerned with sales of alcohol will be trained in relation to sales of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years.
c) Public safety
• All escape routes and exits maintained so as not to cause hindrance in the event of evacuation.
• Annual testing and inspection of the Gas Installation at the premises by a qualified engineer.
• Weekly testing of the Emergency Lighting at the premises.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
• The management will ensure that the grounds of the premises will be kept tidy and without nuisance to other neighbouring businesses or residents.
• Signs posted at the exits reminding customers to leave quietly and with respect for local residents.
• DJ/public announcement to be made at the end of the evening asking customers to leave quietly.
• A Wind Down Period will occur for 30 minutes prior to closing when quieter music is played.
• Amplified music is turned off in the Beer Garden/external areas of the premises at 10pm each day.
e) The protection of children from harm
• No persons under 16 years to be allowed access to the premises after 10pm and persons who are between 16 and 18 years of age to be accompanied by a person over the age of 18 years (with the exception of the children of the Designated Premises Supervisor).
• All members of staff concerned with sales of alcohol will be trained in relation to sales of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years.
• The family room is a designated no smoking area.
• Persons aged under 18 years of age to be excluded from the premises on occasions which the management deem appropriate and subject to the activities to be taking place.
