Offered Conditions
1 The designated premises supervisor shall have at least 2 year’s experience of managing similar premises with a similar capacity and with a similar terminal hour
2 A personal licence holder shall be on the premises at all times during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers, except in the case of an emergency
3 Whenever the designated premises supervisor is not at the premises another personal licence holder will be nominated by the designated premises supervisor as being the responsible person to manage the premises and will have the contact details of the designated premises supervisor. The details of such person to be on prominent display outside the premises
4 Only glasses, which are made of ‘toughened glass’, will be used whether alcohol is being consumed on the premises or in any area outside the premises, which trades as part of the premises
5 Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence; Passport; PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)
6 A dispersal policy, which is agreed by the police to be implemented at all times
7 Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the premises are safe for use. Details of the inspection, defects discovered and remedial action taken shall be recorded in writing in a logbook kept for that purpose. That logbook shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable
8 The nosings on all steps and landings shall be maintained so that they are clearly visible by painting them in contrasting colours or other similar means
9 The fire alarm, emergency lighting system and electrical installation shall be tested on a regular basis, at a frequency determined by a competent person. Certificates should be issued showing the results of the tests. The certificates shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable
10 Where a door(s) on an escape route opens against the direction of travel, it shall be locked in the open position by a tamper-proof fastening when ever there are public on the premises
11 The sale/supply of alcohol will be limited to the following persons:
) Members of the Trimpell Sports and Social Club duly elected in accordance with the Rules from time to time of the Club
) Guests of Members duly admitted under the Rules from time to time of the Club
) Non-members attending functions which have been pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance
) Players and supporters of visiting teams attending the Club for pre-arranged outdoor and indoor sporting fixtures at any time on the day of that fixture
12. There will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
Operating Schedule
a) General -all four Licensing objectives (b,c,d,e)
It is intended to continue to operate largely as a Sports ans Social club for elected members ,but with the ability to serve non-members in limited ways.
The Licensing authority is invited to impose on the licence a condition limiting the supply of alcohol as per the specimen condition attached. This will enable the applicant to exert very strong control over its customers who will largely be known to the management and who will be subject to the disciplinary provisions of the club rules.
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
As above
Pool conditions 1,2, and 3are suggested
The applicant maintains a careful watch for drug misuse and ejects any person found misusing drugs on the premises . Pool condition 25 is acceptable.
c) Public Safety
The advised occupancy limits for the various parts of the premises will be carefully monitored and controlled.
Toughened glasses are in use for alcohol. Pool condition 16 accepted
All recommendations of fire and other regulatory authorities will be enforced.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
The applicant will have a dispersal policy designed to ensure a minmum of disturbance to local residents as per pool condition 19
When functions are taking place in the ballroom all windows and doors facing residential property are kept closed and the level of sound monitored.
e) The protection of children from harm
The applicant will operate the under 21 policy as per pool condition 20 the club rules only permit under 18s on the club premises when accompanied by an adult member.
