Prevention of crime and disorder
A suitable and sufficient CCTV system with recording facilities will be in place at the site and will operate at all times the premise is open for licensable activities. Images must be made available upon reasonable request (meaning within 48 hours) by Police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority.
Staff must be trained with regard to their responsibilities in the retail sale of alcohol and regular refresher training (every 6 months) must also be undertaken. Training records can be made available for inspection upon reasonable request (meaning within 48 hours) by the Police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority.
All spirits will be located behind the counter.
Protection of children from harm
A Challenge 25 policy will be operated at the premises whereby anyone who looks or appears to be under 25 years of age must be asked to provide identification to prove they are over 18 years old.
The only acceptable forms of identification are:-
Photo card driving licence
Passport
PASS (proof of age standards scheme) accredited card
The licence holder must display prominent signage confirming the company's Challenge 25 policy.
A till prompt system must be in operation at the premises and used for the refusal of all age restricted products.
An electronic refusal log must be operated and maintained and will be produced to a relevant officer of the Police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority upon reasonable request (meaning within 48 hours).
