  On New Year’s Eve alcohol may be sold from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, 00.00 hours (midnight) on 31st December)

   

  Credit Sales

  Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal

   

  NO Children’s Certificate

  No person under fourteen shall be in the bar of the licensed premises during the permitted hours unless one of the following applies:

  a)              He is the child of the holder of the premises licence.

  b)              He resides in the premises, but is not employed there.

  c)              He is in the bar solely for the purpose of passing to or from some part of the premises that is not a bar and to or from some part of the premises where there is no other convenient means of access or egress.

  d)              The bar is in railway refreshment rooms or other premises constructed, fitted and intended to be used bona fide for any purpose to which holding of the licence is ancillary.

  In this condition “bar” includes any place exclusively or mainly used for the consumption of intoxicating liquor.  However, an area is not a bar when it is usual for it to be, and it is, set apart for the service of table meals and alcohol is only sold or supplied to persons as an ancillary to their table meals.

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

  (1)              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

  (2)              The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

  All individuals who carry out security activities must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)

• Non standard timings

   

  A further additional hour into the morning following every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for each May Bank Holiday, Spring/Whitsun Bank Holiday and every August Bank Holiday weekend

  A further additional hour into the morning following every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend

  An additional hour every Christmas Eve

  An additional hour every Boxing Day

• Offered Conditions

   

   

  1.              A personal licence holder shall normally be on the premises at all times after 20.00 hours during which intoxicating liquor is being sold or supplied to customers or consumed by customers except in the case of an emergency

  2.              Off sales shall cease at 23.00 hours.

  3.              Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 18 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18.  The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: - UK photo driving licence Passport PASS card (proof of age standards scheme)

  4.              The DPS or a person nominated by them shall be a member of and regularly attend meetings of any Pubwatch scheme for the area within which the premises are located and would include registration and use of community/network radio

  5.         Other than 2 AWP machines and 1 cigarette machine there will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children

   

  Operating Schedule

  a) General-all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e)

  Following an assessment of the premises and its surounding area the following is proposed:

  30 minute " drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal,use of lavatories etc

  In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.

   

  b) The prevention of crime and disorder

  Illumination is provided to the exterior of the pub

  Toilets checked regularly

  Pub is equipped with exits signs

  Burglar alarm in place

  Member of Pubwatch

  CCTV installed

  Toilet access visible from the bar

  Drug prevention measures employed and signs displayed

  Pub has controlled admission

   

  c) Public Safety

  Health and safety policy in place

  Fire fighting equipment serviced regularly.

  Exit signs clearly visible

  Gas and Electricity certificates in place

  Accident book for public and staff

  Portable appliances tested annually

  Emergency lighting ,fire detection throughout the building

   

  d) The prevention of public nuisance

  Doors and windows to remain closed during entertainment

  In town centre and residential area in the immediate area is limited

  Noise survey carried out when entertainment on

  e)The protection of children from harm

  No unaccompanied children allowed

  No children in the bar area

  No under 18s after 9pm

  AWP and cigarette machines are easily observed from the bar.
