  Suitable non-alcoholic beverages, including drinking water, shall be equally available for consumption with or otherwise as an ancillary to meals served in the licensed premises.

   

  The premises must be bona fide used for the purpose of habitually providing for reward board and lodging including breakfast and one other at least of the customary main meals.

   

  Intoxicating liquor shall be sold/supplied only to:

  a)              Residents in the hotel and their bona fide guests

  b)              For consumption off the premises when supplied with a substantial meal supplied in lieu of the customary main meal at midday or in the evening or both. There are no other off sales

   

  There shall be afforded in the premises for persons provided with board and lodging for reward adequate sitting accommodation in a room not used or to be used for

  )          sleeping accommodation; or

  )          the service of substantial refreshment; or

  )          the supply or consumption of alcohol

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

  (1)              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

  (2)              The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

  All individuals who carry out security activities must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)

   

• Conditons on previous licence

  1        This licence is subject to the condition that intoxicating liquor should not be sold or supplied on the premises otherwise than to persons residing there or their private friends bona fide entertained by them at their own expense, and for consumption by such a person or his private friend so entertained by him either on the premises or with a meal supplied at but to be consumed off the premises.

  There shall be afforded in the premises, for persons provided with board and lodging for reward, adequate sitting accommodation in a room not used or to be used for sleeping accommodation for the service of substantial refreshment or for the supply or consumption of intoxicating liquor

  1        Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the premises are safe for use. Details of the inspection, defects discovered and remedial action taken shall be recorded in writing in a logbook kept for that purpose. That logbook shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable

  2        Door(s) on an escape route which 1) open against the direction of travel or 2) sliding doors on an escape route, shall be locked in the open position by a tamper-proof fastening when ever there are public on the premises

  3        Any fire alarm, emergency lighting system and electrical installation shall be tested on a regular basis, at a frequency determined by a competent person. Certificates should be issued showing the results of the tests. The certificates shall be made available for inspection on demand to an Authorised Officer of the Council, a Fire Officer or a Police Constable

  4        The nosings on all steps and landings shall be maintained so that they are clearly visible by painting them in a contrasting colour or other similar means

  5        No nuisance shall be caused by noise coming from the premises or by vibration transmitted through the structure of the premises

  6        Live music will be limited to no more than two people performing at one time and any amplification will be of a moderate amount

  7        Recorded music is limited to a DVD/CD player and a video player (music videos only)

  8        Live music and recorded music will only take place within the bar on the ground floor and in the dining room in the basement

  There will be no adult entertainment services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children
